Explore Eagles Green, a new homes development in Warrington by Anwyl Homes, featuring energy-efficient homes with great commuter access.

Located in the northwest of England, in the county of Cheshire, Warrington is sandwiched between the cities of Manchester and Liverpool, making it the perfect location for commuters and working families. Find out what else Warrington has to offer and take a look at an exciting new development that’s being built there, by Anwyl Homes.

A city for commuters

Yes, if you’re looking for a place to live which makes commuting a doddle, then Warrington is ideal. Firstly, it’s surrounded by three major motorways, with the M6, M62 and M56 all within easy reach. But there are also a handful of primary ‘A’ roads which provide access in and out of the town, such as the A49, A50, A56, A57 and the A580 (or the East Lancs Road as it’s more commonly known). Warrington has two train stations. The first is Warrington Bank Quay which has direct services to London Euston in the south, in a journey time of less than two hours, and Glasgow Central or Edinburgh in the north. The other, Warrington Central, offers frequent, direct services to both Liverpool and Manchester as well as less regular services to cities like Leeds and York. With such great transport links, living in Warrington, you are around 30-minutes away from a choice of two airports too, with Liverpool John Lennon and Manchester Airport either side of you.

Surrounded by the great outdoors

Wherever you find yourself in Warrington, you will never be too far away from green space or countryside. To the north, in the Birchwood suburb, there is Birchwood Forest Park with its delightful 5km trail and Risley Moss Country Park where birdwatching is a must. To the south, Walton Hall and Gardens is a popular day out with a free zoo for children, a play area and pitch ‘n’ putt. You can also go further and enjoy woodland as well as orchard walks. From Stockton Heath to the south of the town centre, you can take a stroll or bike ride along the Bridgewater Canal. And to the West, there is Sankey Valley Park where you can follow the course of England’s oldest canal through the historic 15-mile Sankey Valley.

Plenty of shopping options

If you like to get out and do some shopping, you will be spoilt for choice in Warrington. The town centre itself, which had a massive revamp in 2020, has a handful of shopping centres such as Golden Square and Time Square where you will find many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Heading out of town to the north, there is Gemini retail park with the popular IKEA store and other shops and eateries. Close to the M62 and Junction 9 you come to the aptly named Junction 9 Retail Park, offering retail and restaurant options. There are also shopping options over in Birchwood, too with the Birchwood Shopping Centre. And alongside these larger, modern retail spaces you have to the south of the city, areas like Stockton Heath where you will find quaint, independent shops as well as artisan cafes and eateries. There’s certainly a lot to choose from in Warrington. Supermarkets are in abundance too, meaning you’ll more than likely find one that’s not too far from home.

The Eagles Green New Homes Development from Anwyl Homes in Burtonwood, Warrington

An exciting new development of homes is currently being built on some of the former RAF Burtonwood airbase land as part of the Omega development. Called Eagles Green in tribute to the RAF base, the development is made up of a total of 153 homes, with 115 of them available for private sale.

There is a mix of 3, 4 and 5-bedroom homes available on the site, which come in a range of twelve different designs. The development will have four parks surrounding it, while there are plenty of local schools and colleges nearby. Access to the M62 is direct, with the development being just off Junction 8 of the motorway.

The home is perfect for growing families with a good-sized kitchen/diner leading to a separate lounge with doors opening onto the rear garden. The second and third bedrooms are located on the first floor, with the smaller third bedroom making a good option for a home working office if necessary.
