Scaling Up Housebuilding in the County
Over the summer months, the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority (YNYCA) confirmed the adoption of their draft Housing Growth Strategy. Their target is to build 60,000 new homes across North Yorkshire by 2035, with 25,000 of them to be genuinely affordable. The new homes being built will focus on energy efficiency, supporting the region’s goals to be carbon negative by 2040.
