Northern New Homes near Countryside Walks

Lots of new build home developments can be found close to rural settings. And with this, comes the opportunity to enjoy fresh air and countryside, all on your doorstep. With a focus on the north of the country, we look at some of the new homes currently available near countryside walks. Take a look…
The benefits of countryside walks

Of course, we all know the benefits of getting up and moving and going for a walk. As well as being good for your mental health, walking helps improve mobility, to burn calories, and to maintain a healthy weight. It also can help to improve sleep, increase your energy, and reduce stress and anxiety. But when it comes to walking in the countryside, in a natural environment, those benefits increase further.

This was proved in a scientific report which looked at how spending at least 120 minutes a week in nature is associated with good health and wellbeing. The report found those individuals who spent at least 120 minutes a week out in nature, regardless of how the time was spent, had consistently higher levels of health and wellbeing compared to those with no exposure. In fact, this report proves points made in other previous reports before it, in that it shows having a view of nature and spending time outside in natural settings, all help with physical, social, and mental wellbeing.

Homebuyers want access to countryside
We know from new home buyers’ shopping lists, that access to nature and countryside is important when choosing where to live. This comes alongside other factors such as reduced energy bills, having an open-plan living space, access to schools, and there being excellent broadband connectivity.
Buying a new-build home is a big investment for many, so it is important to get the right home in the right location. And with the benefits of being in the open air alongside nature being important to most of us, developments close to countryside locations are always popular.
