Spotlight on Cameron Homes

Just one of the many housebuilders featured on New Homes Place, we shine the spotlight on Cameron Homes. With the housebuilder celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, we find out more about the Midlands-based company and take a closer look at some of their new developments, including the two latest which have launched in The Midlands. Find out more…

About Cameron Homes

The housebuilding company was set up back in 1994 by Ian Burns, with the backing of Noel Sweeney, the owner of The Tara Group. Today, Cameron Homes is a subsidiary of The Tara Group, an independent, family-owned business which remains under the ownership of the Sweeney family. The Tara Group is well known across communities in the Midlands thank to its charitable trust, The Noel Sweeney Foundation. This was set up in memory of Noel Sweeney, who was a passionate philanthropist and cared deeply about the communities he lived and worked in, and who passed away in 2020.

12 month calendar of celebrations
To commemorate their 30 years in the housebuilding business, Cameron Homes are preparing for a variety of celebrations across the whole year. And they’ve got a lot to celebrate, not least for their achievements in that time. When it comes to building homes, Cameron Homes have completed 130 developments. And they have won numerous awards along the way too, for both the quality of the homes they build as well as the way they run their company: its ethos and values.

While many changes have taken place since Cameron Homes first started housebuilding, from the technologies used to the way people want to live, one thing has always remained consistent with their core values. And that is to build high-quality homes in beautiful locations, where people want to live.

Two new developments in The Midlands

This year Cameron Homes are working on two brand new developments in the Midlands. The first, Hagley Manor, is scheduled for completion in 2025 and is based in the picturesque village of Hagley near Stourbridge, Worcestershire. The quiet rural area is a stunning location in itself, off Western Road, where Cameron Homes will be building a small selection of luxury 3, 4, and 5 bedroom homes – 26 homes in total. The homes will be modern and light-filled, while homeowners will enjoy the wonderful natural surroundings with good connectivity and access to a wide range of amenities including schools and leisure facilities. The other point of interest with Hagley Manor is that there will be 3 properties earmarked for the First Homes Scheme. More about this will land on our website soon!

Repton Chase from Cameron Homes

A small development in the village of Repton in Derbyshire and on the doorstep of the larger Cameron Homes Repton Manor development, is Repton Chase. Due to be completed later this year, Repton Chase will offer a collection of seven bungalows in a selection of sizes from two bedrooms ideal for downsizers, to five bedrooms. The decision was taken to roll out the homes at Repton Chase thanks to the success of the Repton Manor development.

This is The Bucknall, a two-bed bungalow on the Repton Chase development. The property features solar panels to ensure energy efficiency and features a private driveway with space for two cars.

Cameron Homes have taken care to deliver spacious, modern homes built to the highest standards at Amber Grove, with comfort and wellbeing at the heart of every detail. And you will find properties in their Sustainable Living range available here, designed to reduce energy and save water.

This is The Morgan, an elegant double-fronted, 4-bedroom property on the Amber Grove development. It features an open plan kitchen with bi-fold doors leading to the garden, a separate laundry room with another external door, and two bedrooms complete with en suites. To put a serious stamp on modern, smart technology has been included across the home, from smart thermostats for temperature regulation to smart lighting.
