New Homes in Manchester Commuter Towns

Heywood, near Rochdale
Heywood, 4 miles north of Middleton and only 8 miles north of Manchester city centre offers excellent transport links via the M62 and M66 motorways. As well as Manchester, the larger towns of Bury, Middleton and Rochdale are all close by. Surrounded by green belt, the town itself has many wonderful green spaces, including the popular Queen’s Park. Heywood has its own heritage railway station on the East Lancashire Railway too. Wilmslow is also only 15 minutes from Manchester Airport and being only 10 minutes away from the M56 motorway, it’s easy to reach the rest of Cheshire and North Wales.

Blackburn
A little further out, yet still commutable to Manchester, Blackburn in Lancashire benefits from a large, vibrant town centre as well as beautiful countryside. And it’s one of the more affordable places to buy a home. Situated on the Ribble Valley, it’s an approximate 40-minute drive to Manchester city centre by car. The nearby M65 motorway offers further access to motorway routes across the North West, including the M61 and M6. You can take a direct train from Blackburn to Manchester Victoria station too, with a journey time of around 50 minutes.
