Cromwell Fields, Bury is an excellent place to set up home for part-time commuters to London, Cambridge, Peterborough, Huntingdon, Corby and Kettering are all easy commutes as Bury is close to the A1 and A14 trunk routes. This pretty village still retains several 17th-century half-timbered thatched or tiled cottages. Set on the border of Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire this lovely village benefits both countryside and an easy journey into work.
Bury and neighbouring Ramsey have a close community with plenty of activities from nursery groups, youth groups, yoga and keeping fit. If you fancy bell ringing, a campanology group meets once a week. There are endless activities to pick from, for example Upwood creates a 1940 reunion weekend once a year, this event is living history and would be a shame to miss! Bury has a convenience store for your everyday shop there is plenty of supermarkets, independent shops, butchers, a gym, greengrocers and florists in neighbouring Ramsey. Nearby Johnsons of Old Hurst has an excellent farm shop, onsite café and restaurant and crocodiles – a perfect place to suit everyone in the family.

Ramsey is served by a selection of good state schools such as The Ashbeach Primary School, Ramsey Junior School, Ramsey Spinning Infants School, The Abbey College and independent schools like Kimbolton Schools 4-18 years and Whitehall School 6 months to 11 years have excellent reputations.
