The Cambridgeshire countryside is peppered with fine gastro-pubs in charming villages. Trip Advisor rates The Cock in Hemingford Grey, The Mermaid in Ellington and the Pheasant Inn in Huntingdon amongst the best, along with the Barley Mow and the Crown Inn, also in Huntingdon.
For traditional restaurants, Alex’s Café Restaurant (Mediterranean), The Abbot’s Elm Restaurant (European) and the Old Bridge Restaurant (British/European) all come highly recommended in the town.
The development has its own brand new primary school that opened for new pupils in September 2016. It will eventually have a choice of three primary schools on the site, along with its own secondary school, opening for the 2019/20 school year.

Huntingdon’s flagship Chequers Court Shopping Centre is currently undergoing a major redevelopment, creating a brand new, modern shopping experience, anchored by three major stores. The 100,000sq ft expansion plan will also create 700 parking spaces in the centre of the town.

Aloconbury lies close to the intersection of the north/south A1 and the east/west A14, providing easy access in all directions. Peterborough and Cambridge are both around 20miles drive, with Northampton 38miles and London around 75miles.
The centre of Huntingdon in just a few minutes drive away, where you’ll find Huntingdon Station, with over 740 park and ride spaces. Trains to London take just 54minutes, with services every 10minutes in peak times, while Peterborough is just 16minutes in the other direction.
To make commuting even easier, the development will ultimately get its own station, Alconbury Weald, as part of a major investment in the East Coast Mainline.
